Lake Situ Patenggang

The exotic landscape of Situ Patenggang lake located in the area of Ciwidey Village, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia in the area of natural tourist attractions such as tea plantation Rancabali, White Crater, and the Hot springs.

The area has cool climate, it located 1600 meters above sea level. There is an iconic Amour island (pulau asmara) on the lake, according to the legend lovers that visit the island particularly those that visit The Stone Love (Batu cinta) will have everlasting love. The island is so popular in the lake, thus you can reach it by renting a boat. Best to visit early in the morning, at the break of dawn you will have this wonderful view! So put on your jacket and get set to explore! It is really worth it..

The Legend

Situ Patenggang is a well known natural beauty scenic view and become favorite vacation destination in Bandung. Situ means lake in Sundanese, Patenggang means looking for each other. Based on the famous Sundanese love story legend of Ki Santang and Dewi Rengganis. 

The two were in love but they have to be separated due to some reason. Time passed and they met again in Batu Cinta (Stone love) in Situ Patenggang. They celebrate their reunion by the area. Ki Santang built a lake and a boat in the area, according to the legend the boat became a tiny island that is now Pulau Asmara (Amour island). The island also known as Pulau Sasaka.

The Rheinaue (Freizeitpark Rheinaue, Bonn- Deutschland), Germany

Bonn, is the 19th largest city in Germany. It is located in Bonn region or Cologne. What I like most about Bonn is it owned large and beautiful leisure park, along with stunning lake. In winter where the temperature about -10°C and above, when there's no rain the lake will be frozen and a lot of people play ice skating on the frozen lake surrounded by the beautiful view of the park. And if the temperature around below -4°C, the ducks and swans swims on the lake and birds flying and playing around the park, It's really breathtaking! The area is located in the geographical heart of Bonn city area on both side of the Rhine, and with the Research Center Caesar and the Post Tower. The area is almost as large as the center of Bonn. In spring and summer time where the flowers bloomed and the trees begun to grow, it gives you the most beautiful view ever.
